From Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On Tuesday 7th September 2025, at 6.30 pm, in collaboration with ACME (Amici e Collaboratori del Museo Egizio) we will host a lecture  held by Paul Bouchard.

Using illustrations, study room documentation, 3D models and workbench photographs, this lecture will show the planning and execution of several types of ancient Egyptian stools and housewares. Woodworking techniques will be explained in relation to the pieces discussed. The viewer should come away with an ability to visualize the joinery beneath the surface of wooden museum objects.

Paul Bouchard is a Canadian furniture maker and animation story artist. Using basic hand tools and digital models (created from 3D scans and photogrammetry) he is building accurate replicas of ancient Egyptian furniture.

The lecture will take place in our Conference Room, admission is free with a reservation on Eventbrite. Click HERE to book your place.

The lecture will be broadcast via streaming on the Museum's Facebook page and YouTube channel.
