From Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
For the series of talks as part of "Paesaggi/Landscapes," we invite you on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Gallerie d'Italia – Torino, where the talk between photographer Rehab Eldalil and curator of the Museo Egizio Johannes Auenmüller will address the connection between Egyptian communities and their land. The conversation will be moderated by Filomena Greco (Il Sole 24 Ore).

Rehab Eldalil, acclaimed for her investigative work on the indigenous Bedouin community of Sinai, works at the intersection of documentary, photojournalism, and visual storytelling. The conversation will focus on the changing landscape in modern Egypt and its impact on the sense of identity and belonging from an indigenous, rural, and urban perspective. Drawing from Rehab Eldalil's work with the indigenous Bedouin community of Sinai, Egypt, and her personal experiences witnessing the country's urbanization, the dialogue between the photographer and the archaeologist will reflect on the past, present, and future, focusing on landscape changes and their cultural and political consequences.

The event is free with mandatory reservation on Eventbrite. Click HERE to reserve your spot.

The talk will also be available via streaming on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.

"Paesaggi/Landscapes" is a cultural project where photography and video art meet archaeology and ancient Egypt. The initiative is part of a three-year agreement between the Fondazione Museo delle Antichità Egizie and Intesa Sanpaolo, aimed at the development and dissemination of culture and art.

From June 13 to September 12, 2024, at Gallerie d'Italia – Torino, "Paesaggi/Landscapes" will feature an immersive installation, free to visit, and a series of free-entry talks that will bring together photographers, artists, and Egyptologists.
