Update of April, 18
We are pleased to announce that the issues have been resolved and the Museo Egizio will reopen today at 1 PM.
From April 18 to April 21, 2025, the museum will remain open until 9 PM.
The technicians worked tirelessly through the night, but new faults have emerged in the electrical unit. As a result, we are forced to keep the Museo Egizio temporarily closed on the morning of April 18.
We will proceed with refunds for visitors scheduled for the morning of today, April 18, 2025, and we hope to reopen in the afternoon.
We apologise to our visitors and will provide a further update at 12:00 PM.
April, 17:
The complex weather conditions that have recently affected our city unfortunately caused issues at the large construction site currently underway at the Museo Egizio. The electrical system was damaged, therefore, the museum was unable to open to the public today. We will be able to reopen our doors to visitors starting tomorrow, April 18.
We apologize to the public.
All those holding an entry ticket for today will receive a refund.
The Museum will remain open from 9 AM to 9 PM every day through Easter Monday to welcome everyone wishing to visit the collections.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
