The new program of scientific lectures for the 2022/2023 season offers a rich calendar of meetings focused on museological and egyptological reasearch and investigation, which will alternate international speakers and curators of the Museum.

Some of the topics presented by the Collection and Research Department of the Museo Egizio are in-depth analysis of material culture, archaeological context of the artifacts, Egyptian society as well as recent exhibition projects such as "Open Courtyard. Flora of Ancient Egypt".

Thanks to the precious collaboration with ACME (the association of supporters and friends of the Museo Egizio), the public will be able to discover the latest news of egyptological research directly from the scholars from italian and foreign Universities and Research Institutes. Among these the Director of Museo Egizio Christian Greco who will talk about the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb and Elizabeth Frood (University of Oxford) with the lecture: “Imaging and Reimagining Statue Bodies in the Late New Kingdom”.

The lectures program is organized in collaboration with the Department of Historical Studies of the University of Turin.

All the events are held in the Conference Room of Museo Egizio with free admission subject to seats availability. Only for the lectures held in English the simultaneous translation service into Italian will be available.

The lectures will be streamed live on the Facebook page and YouTube channel of the Museo Egizio.
