The study involves a detailed analysis of the finds, which are largely fragmentary, from the monumental tombs. These include architectural fragments, wall and ceiling decorations, statues. Since no precise inventory has ever been compiled, the exact provenance of many fragments—whether from one tomb or another—remains unknown.
For this reason, the analysis has been structured by object category rather than by individual tomb (which all are, in any case, of the 12th Dynasty). Where known, provenance is indicated, but the primary focus is on artistic styles, contextualization of the fragments, and comparisons with contemporary parallels.
